Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” is making more history!
Billboard reports that this song is entering its 28th week at number-one on its Hot Country Songs chart making it the “longest leading hit by a woman with no other credited recording artists” since the chart started in 1958. “Choosin’ Texas” debuted at number-seven on the chart in November.
In addition, Ella has held the Top 3 spots on the Hot Country Songs chart for the past five weeks with “Choosin’ Texas” leading the way followed by “Be Her” and “I Can’t Love You Anymore” with Morgan Wallen.
Only three other songs have spent more time on the chart: Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha’s “Meant to Be” (50 weeks), Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” (45 weeks) and Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road” (34 weeks).
