Taylor Swift is setting records with the release of her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl.
On Friday, 2.7 million copies were sold. 3 million is within reach before the week is over. The Life of a Showgirl may sell more copies in its debut week than Adele’s 25, which holds the record at 3.4 million.
Next week, The Life of a Showgirl will debut atop the Billboard album chart. This will be Taylor’s 15th #1 album (counting her “Taylor’s Version” re-recordings). Only The Beatles have more #1 albums with 19.
